Natural Tooth Crown

to save current teeth from cavities and decay

If a crown is deemed necessary, the dentist will first prepare the tooth by removing any decayed or damaged tissue and reshaping it to create an optimal surface for the crown to fit securely.

Impressions of the prepared tooth are then taken, either using traditional molds or digital scanning technology, to ensure a precise fit. These impressions are sent to a dental lab where the crown is custom-made from high-quality materials such as porcelain, ceramic, or metal, designed to match the color and shape of the surrounding teeth. Meanwhile, a temporary crown may be placed to protect the prepared tooth. Once the permanent crown is ready, the dentist will check its fit, shape, and color before cementing it firmly onto the tooth.

The entire process typically involves two visits and requires careful attention to detail to ensure the crown functions naturally, looks aesthetically pleasing, and lasts for many years with proper care.
